After a long chilly week the sun was shining and the temperatures were up and brought in a crowd to fill the bleachers and then some of breeds and Holstein enthusiasts to the 2015 Minnesota Spring Special sale at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds in Rochester, MN. The sale was held on Saturday, April 11. 2015. At the sale 105 live lots were auctioned off and included one half lot. The sale averaged $2,693 on those 105 live lots.The 2015 Spring Special sale also offered again online/onsite embryo auction. Six total lots sold with an average of $375 per embryo.
The high seller of the day was lot 4 Minnigan-Hills Denver-ET, consigned by Minnigan Hills, John Dierson of Caledonia, MN. She was purchased for $22,000 by Gordon Lamb, Oakfield Corners from Oakfield, NY. The second high seller was lot 6 Sunview Troy Hazel-ET, consigned by Sebastien Dion of Levis, QU Canada. She was purchased for $8,400 by Korinna & Jeff Rohde of Grey Eagle, MN. Thank you to all who participated in the MHA Spring Special sale and helped make it a success.
