When you arrive to check in your animals please bring registration papers, information on any class swaps, payment method if you are not a due paying member, and late entry and payment if applicable.

Holstein Show Judge

Chad Ryan, Wisconsin

Chad Ryan resides in Fond du Lac, Wis. with his wife, Amy, and sons, Dylan, and Cameron. There he assists with the day-to-day operations of Ryan-Vu Holsteins, which is now home to a select group of Holsteins and color breed heifers. Ryan and his family have bred or developed 60 All-American, Junior All-American and All-Canadian nominees in multiple breeds, six of which went on to be named All-American. They have also been awarded the Premier Breeder banner twice at the Wisconsin Championship Show. Along with being active on the farm, Ryan is a former member of the Wisconsin Holstein Association Board of Directors and currently serves on the WDE Dairy Cattle Exhibitor Committee and the World Dairy Expo Board of Directors. He also travels the country working with elite show cattle and genetic offerings at sales and shows. Ryan’s judging resume includes the International Holstein, Red and White, Junior Holstein, Jersey and Ayrshire Shows at World Dairy Expo, the 2022 TD Canadian 4-H Dairy Classic Conformation Show, the Northeast Spring National Holstein Show, the Western National Holstein and Red & White Shows, various Midwest national shows and the All-American Jersey and Junior Red & White Shows.

Junior Holstein Show Judge

Kaleb Kruse, Wisconsin

Kaleb Kruse is part owner of KCCK Genetics with his two younger brothers, Cole and Carter. They raise and show all seven dairy breeds at the local, state, and national levels. Kaleb attended Kaskaskia College where he received multiple Associates and Applied Science degrees before transferring to the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2020. Kaleb was active in dairy judging at the collegiate level while attending Kaskaskia College and the University of Minnesota.

Kaleb has judged several local, state and national shows. He served as the associate judge at the National Ayrshire Show in 2020. Additionally, he judged the National Ayrshire Junior Show in 2021, the Midwest National Ayrshire Show in 2022, the Midwest Regional Milking Shorthorn Show in 2022, and the National Junior Guernsey Show in 2022. Kaleb was the 2019 Merle Howard award recipient at World Dairy Expo. He currently serves on the World Dairy Expo Junior Holstein Committee and is active on the National Ayrshire Marketing Board. Kaleb works for Cowbuyer.com as a Sales Team Member and Innovative Ag Service as an Agronomy Sales Advisor.

Red and White Show Judge

Roger Turner, Wisconsin

Since 2012 and re-locating to Wisconsin, USA Roger Turner has been the Global Sales and Genetic Manager for Jetstream Genetics Inc. Previously he was employed by Alta Genetics Inc. as a Regional Sire Analyst and also an International Sales Manager for just over 18 years.

Roger was raised at Railhaven Holsteins, a registered Holstein farm in Ontario, Canada. Turner was a self-employed, professional dairy cattle fitter for 12 years before joining the AI industry. This work took him across North America and to many foreign countries where he prepared, showed and owned numerous All-Canadians, All-Americans and grand champions.

Roger’s judging career has included assignments to more than 22 countries, and over 20 US states and numerous Canadian provinces. Roger has judged at The Royal Winter Fair in Canada, Swiss Expo in Lausanne, Switzterland, European Holstein Show in Verona, Italy, International Dairy Week in Australia, UK Dairy Expo Carisle, England as well as four occasions at World Dairy Expo, Madison, WI.

Additionally, he has served as a member of both the All-American & All-Canadian selection
committees for various breeds and has officiated at numerous US National Shows. Roger in the past has held postions on the Holstein Canada Type & Classification Advisory Board and Past President of the Canadian Livestock Genetics Association. Roger was recently awarded a 20 year service award from NAAB for outstanding service and commitment to the improvement of the livestock industry.

A proud supporter of youth programs, Roger is also a volunteer at the USA Inter-collegaite
Judging Competition at WDE as well as a Canadian Classic volunteer at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. Roger finds his spare time to be occupied as a First Responder & Fire Fighter with the Sun Prairie Fire Department.
