The 2022 Minnesota Holstein Online Spring Special Sale took place from March 12-13, 2022.
Fourteen cattle lots, 4 different embryo lots and 3 genetic lots were offered in the sale. The sale topped our online fall sale, which had been our most successful online sale yet. This spring sale grossed over $67,000 across the six animal lots, two embryo lots and two genomic IVF lots that sold.
The sale was managed by the Minnesota Holstein Association and sale tri-chairs Nathan Donnay, Eric Houdek and Trevor Ekkel. Animals were marketed on the MHA Facebook page and website. Intents to bid were accepted until noon on March 12, at which point bid-offs took place and animals with intents were sold. Lots remained open until March 19, in the event that a buyer wanted to place an offer on one of the remaining lots. Sale highlights are outlined below:
